Fifty years of moulding rubber in Bang Bon
Erawan Rubber started in 1975 as a small moulding shop. It is now a 50,000 sq ft plant that mixes its own compound, cuts its own moulds and runs its own quality laboratory.
Behind the name
The three-headed elephant
Erawan is the three-headed elephant of Thai mythology. The mark has carried the company since the day it opened in 1975, and it still stamps our parts and our paperwork fifty years on.
Three heads is a fair picture of how the plant works. Compound, mould and press carry the same part together — if any one of them is wrong, the part fails.

From a small shop to a tier supplier
1975
The factory opens
Moulded rubber production begins in Bang Bon, alongside the founding of Union Belt Industries, the group parent.
1990s
The tool room is built
Lathes, milling machines and a profile projector are brought in so moulds are designed and cut in-house instead of subcontracted.
2000s
ISO 9001 certification
The quality management system is certified by Moody International Certification under UKAS accreditation, and automotive supply begins.
2010s
Capacity expands
Vacuum compression presses of 200 – 300 ton and an injection press bring the floor to 34 machines running two shifts a day.
Today
Today
Fourteen compounds mixed in-house supply the automotive, electrical appliance and sanitary ware industries. A member of the Thai Subcontracting Promotion Association and listed in the Thai Society of Automotive Engineers directory.
