Quality

Every batch passes the laboratory before it leaves

Rubber does not show its quality on the outside. Two identical-looking parts can differ several times over in service life, so we measure every batch instead of trusting the eye.

Certification

ISO 9001

Our quality management system is certified by Moody International Certification under UKAS accreditation, covering order intake, compounding, moulding and final release.

Parts are also produced to the reference standards customers call out on their drawings — JIS, ASTM, DIN and BS — including the AS 568 (inch) and JIS (millimetre) O-ring size charts.

Testing

Four things we measure on every batch

01

Hardness

Shore A durometer on every mixing batch, confirming the compound landed on the figure called out on the drawing.

02

Tensile strength and elongation

Test pieces pulled to break. Tensile and elongation figures tell us whether the cure ran to completion.

03

Resilience and compression set

The critical test for seals — rubber that does not spring back is rubber that will leak within months.

04

Dimensional inspection

Checked on the tool room profile projector against the drawing, at first-article approval and during the run.
